Janiah Piper
"MORE THAN MEDIA - MOVEMENT"

Digital Media & Community Engagement Strategist
INSIDE THE LAMP
I am a “genie” when it comes to creative directing. I enjoy taking someone’s idea or vision and turning it into something as close to reality as possible. For me, marketing is the perfect balance of storytelling, creativity, and strategy, allowing me to help others bring their ideas to life in a meaningful and impactful way.My interest in marketing is rooted in my lifelong background in the performing arts, where I developed both creativity and a strong attention to detail. Whether I’m working on presentations, graphic design, or event coordination, I bring a critical eye and a focus on making everything feel polished and intentional. Media has always been my escape, which is why I’m especially drawn to working behind the scenes—helping shape ideas and bring visions to life for others to escape in.

LIVING IN THE MAGIC
Designing Around the Audience
No two campaigns followed the same formula. Each required me to consider its audience, theme, product, purchasing method, pricing, and promotional approach. Through that process, I learned how to turn a fundraising objective into an experience that encourages participation while still reflecting the identity of the organization behind it.

BRINGING THE DATA TO LIFE
FROM INSIGHT → STRATEGY
Rather than stopping at what the data showed, I translated quantitative findings into recommendations a startup production company could actually use.
LOW-BUDGET PRODUCTION: Prioritize more controlled production budgets to manage financial risk.
100–175 MINUTE RUNTIME: Consider runtime within the range identified through the analysis.
GENRE OPPORTUNITIES: Explore genres that demonstrated stronger performance or market potential.
TRAILER + SOCIAL MEDIA PROMOTION: Use visual storytelling and social platforms to build awareness and connect films with potential audiences.
DATA IN THE LAMP
Analytics is more than interpreting numbers. The real value comes from connecting data, audience behavior, and market context to a decision.
Using data not only describes what happened, but helps determine what could happen next.
